To discuss the mobile suits that will form the basis for our photo novel.
Grunt mechs. We need a grunt mech, I think.

Well if as so far the setting and faction that it's going to be concentrating on is UC and Titans, the obvious one is the Mk II titans RX-178 surely?

Well if as so far the setting and faction that it's going to be concentrating on is UC and Titans, the obvious one is the Mk II titans RX-178 surely? That's not really a grunt mech though. By grunt mech, I mean a mass-produced mech. Almost all UC series have introduced a grunt mech, usually a GM variant of some kind, even if it's a limited production GM. In fact, I think only ZZ Gundam didn't have a GM variant specifically designed for it. If it's set after 0087, then by this time, the Zeon had pretty much ditched the Zaku II, although the Hi-Zack and Marasai were around, and the Zeon could still be using upgraded Zaku variants.

GM variants - How about modded gm head on a modded Mk II frame like some kind of a test type? Maybe a precursor to the GM III, or the step after that. In Mobile Suit Gundam MSV-R: Johnny Ridden there's mechas that never get past the testing stage or are for one operation use only. I like the UC series idea, it means we can use any MS from that series just like MSV-R does.

I've been a little busy with the office move over the last few days, but I will try and get the chance to write out a basic storyline and post it here, and then we need to try and drum up some more interest.
